I offer a 90-minutes of time split into two 45-minute meetings. This doesn’t mean we have to squeeze anything and everything into the initial meeting, it’s always enough time to get a handle on the initial brief. We can then reconvene to hash out the remaining details. Both consultations are free of charge. We can discuss your project over the phone, or we can use any virtual meeting platform of your choice.

Do you charge for glass & glazing consultations?

No, I do not. I offer 90-minutes of my time, split into 2 seperate 45-minute meetings. Once I receive your glass & glazing consultation request, you will hear back from me within 24-hours.

Why do you split the 90-minute glazing consultation.

There are two reasons I split the 90-minute glass & glazing consultation into two 45-minute meetings. Firstly, I find splitting the 90-minutes allows prospective clients to leave, digest, note down questions and then return armed for another discussion. Secondly, I’m extremely busy and as such, I simply can’t attend a consultation style meeting for over 45-minutes of a single day. I respect others schedules and most people also respect mine.

What can we discuss?

Anything & everything related to glass. I’m a glass expert (nerd) and high-rise glazing consultant. I can assist with any number of glass related questions, from high-rise unitized curtain wall design and build, project delay claims through to traditional glazing and antique stained glass sourcing. As my tag line notes – from heritage to high-rise.

Can you help with an unusual glass request?

Absolutely! I truly appreciate the unusual and downright odd requests, and I’ve had many. I not only assist with the glass & glazing component of the construction industry, but a multitude of other industries. I’ve assisted the UK, US and Canadian armed forces, independent security services, the automotive industry, sports stadium owners, recording studios, theatre orchestral pits, airports, residential and commercial entities, claim consultants, insurance companies, and television and movie production companies. The list is endless, as is the application of glass and glazing.

How much do you charge?

This is a very common question and unfortunately, it’s not one I can answer without the initial 45-minute consultation. Every request is different and needs vary considerably. I generally charge a very reasonable hourly rate and bill only for time spent. Once engaged, you will receive a breakdown of tasks on a daily basis.

Do you charge a retainer?

For new clients requiring longer contracts, yes. As with the previous question, it really depends on the client and their need.

Can you supply me with references?

Yes, of course. We can discuss this during the glass and glazing consultation once I understand the project scope and in turn, just who would offer you the best information. I.e., someone with a similar project scope.
